Walking at Lleweni Parc

We're very proud of the beautiful riverside and woodland walks recently recreated here.

Lleweni Parc is part of a walled pleasure garden known as a "paradais" created by the Salusbury family in the 16th & 17th centuries. Today we balance agriculture and leisure activities to create a 21st century paradise for our camping, caravanning and gliding visitors.

The colour-coded walks are open to guests staying at Lleweni Parc and to our gliding customers. The sale of walker's membership to local residents and frequent visitors is currently suspended. You may like to view this Gallery of some of the sights to be found on our network of paths.

Please click on the links above for maps of the various walks and photographs from each of them.  If you do plan to visit Lleweni Parc, you must be aware that it is an active airfield and you should take a look at the guidelines.

Longer Walks from Lleweni Parc

The Clwydian Way

The Clwydian Way is a 122 mile circular long distance footpath, created to celebrate the Millennium. The route uses public rights of way and is trailmarked with a distinctive white disc featuring a buzzard. Starting and ending in Prestatyn, the Clwydian Way passes right through Lleweni, and is literally a two-minute walk from our Tourer Park - perfect if you're a walker with a motorhome or caravan!

Offa's Dyke PathCastle

The 177 mile-long Offa's Dyke Path is well-known and has the distinction of linking three Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty – the Wye Valley, the Shropshire Hills and the Clwydian Hills.  Access to Offa's Dyke Path at Bodfari is only a couple of miles from Lleweni Parc by main road or via public footpaths and lanes.

Denbigh with its historic castle is a short hike away (recommended route), as are plenty of pubs, shopping and other facilities.
There are also plenty of other fabulous North Wales walks easily accessible.
